Scott Gannon is an accomplished musician, teacher, clinician, adjudicator and music minister and has been active in Central Florida since January 2000.
A native of Missouri, he attended Evangel University where he earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and Sacred Music with a primary in piano and minored in voice and organ. Scott has used his certification to teach vocal and instrumental music, Kindergarten through 12th grade in both public and private school settings. While teaching music in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Scott worked towards a Masters in Music Education at the University of New Mexico.
He is a member of the National Federation of Music Clubs where his students have been awarded first place at the state level. Scott has taught private piano, voice and wind instrument lessons over the last 20 years for students age four through 75.
Scott has worked with the City of Port Orange Parks and Recreation Department since 2002 to produce the Christmas in the Park Concerts. In addition to the community choir for Christmas in the Park, he has directed mass choirs for the Volusia County National Day of Prayer and the Peace for Israel Festivals in both Daytona Beach and Israel.
Scott is the music minister at South Daytona Christian Church where he has served since 2007. In addition to his responsibilities at South Daytona Christian, he has served as a music ministry consultant to several churches in Volusia County in recent years.
