Richard Cuchetti, Director & Creative Administrator of the Indian River Institute For the Creative Arts, received his Bachelors Degree from Wayne State University and his Masters from Nova Southeastern University. Over the past fifty years as educator, professional musician and audio/visual producer & director, he has moved with conceptual and technical fluidity from one language to another, from classical to jazz, to high-tech and interactive, to improvisation and hybrid cultural forms, to the experimental and the unpredictable.

During the 1998/99 school year, he was awarded a prestigious Northwestern University (Chicago) School of Music Summer Fellowship, one of only eight individuals from around the world, for his efforts in establishing from scratch, with only 12 students, an instrumental music program in five schools in Florida totaling 575 students. His high standards in musical knowledge and skills, creativity, resourcefulness, front line experience, strong individual initiative and tenacity spelled out the formula for success for hundreds of students, ... "where once there were none".

Mr. Cuchetti is a member of Phi Mu Alpha professional music fraternity, a Northwestern University Fellow, performed in the Detroit Symphony - was a lead trumpet studio musician at the Elmwood Casino backing hundreds of stars like Sammy Davis Jr., Tom Jones, Johnny Carson, Sarah Vaughn etc, and has produced and directed show groups and audio/visual recordings at the national and international level.
