Jaime Tauler (drum set, percussion, snare drum, marimba and timpani) was bitten by the music bug very early on. His first drum kit was a high chair and two spoons at the ripe old age of 2. Jaime grew up in the Washington DC area and while attending high school he was selected to the Maryland All-State orchestra and also a member of the 1991 MENC All-Eastern orchestra, selected from auditions held in thirteen states.
Because of his musical ability, Jaime was awarded a full tuition scholarship to attend the University of Maryland where he was involved with several ensembles and was drumline squad leader and section leader for the Symphonic Wind Ensemble.
Winner twice of the prestigious Homer Ulrich award, Jaime earned a Master of Music degree at the age of 23 and joined the U.S. Navy as a musician. As a drummer for the Navy, he was a member of the Ceremonial, Parade, Concert and Jazz bands but his main βgig' was for the rock band Passage.
Once his service to the Navy was fulfilled, he moved to Florida and was fortunate to attend Stetson University where he combined his love of music and computer science to earn a degree in Digital Arts. After graduating from Stetson in 2005, Jaime joined Sunco Productions as an audio engineer. He is a member of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, is an audio engineer at Peabody Auditorium and Oceanfront Bandshell. His band, Local Juju won the Song Writers Showcase of America award the most profound song of the year in 2003.
Jaime understands the importance of sharing his love of music with others, especially his son, Sebastian. Jaime's teaching philosophy focuses on technique and theory, emphasizing musicality in a fun and energetic environment.
